I have done this mod to my pump. The problem I described earlier concerns increased rattling over several months as the impeller-shaft interface wears down. It is possibly caused by the imbalance the glue causes, but who knows.


For a replacement impeller, I'm looking at about $12, while a new pump is only $18.

I take it that a danner mag 3 would be a good replacement. Anyone think there are quieter pumps?
