you should think about what it does...its supposed to be a certain hieght...the hight of the cpu, but that height was probably measured 1000x more accurately than that of the shim maker. also, how can a shim transfer heat better? and why use coper over say...aluminum? because it wouldnt make any difference...the thing doesnt do anything. its just a gimmick.
