My brand new Danner Mag 3 arrived today., and I started playing with it immediately.

I'm planning on gluing the impeller to the permenant magnet with some JBweld (when I find some) and possibly replacing the O ring with some kind of sealant.

I initially thought the pump was broken or defective when I first got it and plugged it in for a second to see how it sounded dry. The pump clatters a bit when it first fires up submerged, as well as when it is trying to pass more than a tiny amount of air. Gluing the shaft should take care of this though.

I sealed brass barbs onto the inlet and outlet with teflon-based pipe sealant goo (the kind in a can with a brush; not teflon tape).
