Default end of the line: crappy processor or reasonable results?

it seems i've come dead on with the last bit of overclocking i can squeeze out of my 2400. i've hit 2380 with 14x170. it seems i can get it in the 2400's if i go back to a 133fsb, and i may give that a whirl again, for fun.

anyways, the thing that concerns me the most is it takes 1.85v to hit this mark, which seems to be getting a bit high. however, i *think* with maybe around 2v and wc, i could get it over 2500 (i've got it to boot into 2500 a few times, but very unstable).

i can get it to post pretty well at 14x175, but it won't boot into windows for the life of it, at all. i'd probably have to crank up the juice quite a bit to get it to run stable any faster, and that's kindof got me edgy. i can't run up the volts much more from cooling, either, too much more juice and it will probably fry. the fsb doesn't seem to want to move on this setup tho at all, it's very picky, and i was rather surprised i got it to run at 170. possibly a nb cooling issue, methinks.

anyways, is that fairly on par for an overclock for an aircooled 2400, or is this thing just teh suck? i don't remember what the stepping is, and i'm not really all that interested in pulling apart the system today to find out
