Something that small and with that small fittings cannot be good for water flow.

Generally, 3/8" ID barbs and up are preferable, those look to be 1/4". Restriction in a single block will destroy flow for the entire loop, so if you have a super powerful pump, a big open heatercore, a high pressure pump, an open waterblock, and that thing your flow will be dead, reguardless of what is in there.
