Good luck with the spiral, I'm interested how you go about making it fit and mount. I personally am just waiting to have a spare $1500 or so to throw down on a little mill and accessories so I can truely make my own blocks and other stuff. Yay Oh and I'm assuming it's amd we're talking about here.. what board in particular are you trying this on?

itll be on an Asus A7N8X Deluxe. my NB gets pretty damn hot at 200 FSB since theres no air going over it really. If I can figure out an easy way for the spir@l to go on im going to use it there, otherwise ill just pick up some alum stock and bend and cut me a socket 7 holddown mech...the one I have planned is a lot like dteks but I plan to spend not even $5 on it
thinking about it, a way to get the spir@l on would be to basically make another plate to go on top of it, that has the screwholes where they should be...screw it down into place and it should hold. only problem is possible vertical movement but I think if I make it so that its a solid plate with holes for the barbs, itll be fine. this all assumes I have room around the NB of course, and that my L20 is able to push through the two blocks and eventually a bigger heatercore. i might hook it up but not use it till I get a new pump...
