Guys,
Joe isn't necessarily looking for a project to be completed and submitted. In the app, he wants to basically get to know you and check out your writing style. Just review a piece of hardware in your system or something like that. The important part is the grammar, the style, how well it flows, etc. Once he says you're a go, then you can start doing big projects. The app is mainly preliminary stuff though.
So if you have a project in a month, send in a writing sample/app now. If you make it, then you can do the project
