I have an MCP300 and since they are prone to leaking from the weak connections where the front aluminum connector mounts on, I figured what if I could hook up a small res in place of that.

If I were to take that front aluminum piece off and put a res right over the hole and seal around the edges would that work? Or does the pump need the enclosure that the alu piece gives it? If that's the case then I could make a flat round plastic piece in the shape of a doughnut that fits inside of the hole, and then put the res over that.

I hope you guys can understand this hah
