What you have to look for in a PSU for a 226W TEC is
Amperage (+12V @28A or more), not only Watts or Volts, since these suckers do swallow a lot of juice. The pelt I have in my system, a 226W pulls a steady 15-16 Amps when measured directly, add to this another 10 Amps from other computer hardware, and you will get a figure of what you need.
Presently I am using a little gem of an ATX PSU, the
Sparkle Power 550W, rated at +12V @ 36Amps, that is powering everything except the water pump.
Edit: Needless to say that if you use an under rated PSU (Amperage) you will burn it in a tizzy, and probably damage other components of your computer in the process. I know this by first hand experience!!
