Thanks for the advice, I'll skip the clamps on the barbs that have the many "sharp" edges and clamp the others. Since they sent me a BIX2 instead of the BIX I ordered I have some more time trying to find someone who sells the elusive barbs in inch sizes with tapered threads.
Good news is I finally found a 1/2" T-connector!
