Hey.
I tried searching, but nothing is as specific as I have liked. So please don't flame a n00b right here!
I want to get into Watercooling. Why? I love tinkering with stuff, and I want noise and performance cooling.
My friend recommended a kit for me. He says the
Swiftech kits aren't bad for the n00b beginner.
I was thinking, a single 80mm radiator wouldn't really be powerful enough, and I can imagine the fan has gotta be pretty loud to move enough air.
A lot of other people say, put together my own. Okay, but I don't know where to order from. I'm in Canada, and would rather spend as little as possible.
I want the best compromise between noise and performance and price.
The only two pumps I have available to buy is the Swiftech MCP600 and Hydor L30 II.
I don't need NB cooling, I don't plan on pushing my FSB too far... and GPU maybe later, I don't intend to overclock this videocard, cos I bought it for a friend, and I'm just "using" it for her till I put together the rest of her computer.
I have a few waterblocks to choose from:
Swiftech MCW5002-A-02 and MCW5000-A-02
D-Tek Spir@l
D-Tek TC-4 Poly Topped
Danger Den Maze4 SHD
What else? Tubing ... where to get? Home Depot? Or get specific tubing .. CLEARFLEX 1/2" ID Flexible Tubing? or just 1/2" OD Premium Vinyl Tubing?
I don't know about the fittings, there are hose clamps, hose barb adapters, elbows, etc etc. I have no idea where they go or what they do?
Radiator? I hear it's better to go to a garage and pick up a small heatercore instead of buying the expensive radiators? I'll put two 120mm Panaflos it'll be quiet(er)....
Am I missing something? Fill & Bleed Assembly? Or a Reservoir? It'd be cool to have a 7-10gal fish tank as a reservoir, but that's bulky
