Try washing the CPU in some isopropyl alcohol and then give it a go.

thanks for the link, but I got the latest bios IC7-MAX3 BIOS 15.

I guess I'm gonne need some one with one other prescott ready mobo, to see if it's the CPU, or my mobo not supporting..

It almost looks like it's having a heat problem if I leave it on for a while, even my bios hangs

but it's strange, I don't see how giving a shortcut would result in unstable performence. OC would, but I'm not even at that point

Well, looks like 245 euro down the drain.......

next CPU I'll sure will test prior to lapping!!!!!!!!!
