I have a Asus P4C800-E
and had no problem mounting the WW untill i remove the IHS off the CPU...
but the part you are having problem with... i didn't have...
unless for some reasong you got the wrong screws...

something to try though... after removing the IHS off my CPU
had to sand the black nylon nuts thinner so that the whole mounting plate was lower. but the i had to grind the bolt heads where the WW attaches to so i could prevent it from touching the MB.
you may want to try that if contacting the reseller you purchased it from as j813 mentioned
