That's a storm. A tornado, as would probably be found in the SW USA, is much more destructive, as is a hurricane. If THOSE are the effects of which you speak (I think they may be) that's an entirely different story. I suppose a storm in Peru (one of those crazy newage ones) would be really destructive as well, I guess, but once again, just a lot of water.
