N00B seeking help with WC/Pelt setup
Hello,
I'm trying to come up with a water cooling solution for an Athlon 64 processor. Further - I'd really like to get some speed out of the chip (I'm thinking a 2800+ which is a 1.8GHz) - I'd love to get it well above 2Ghz.
Anyway, I think a WC solution with a peltier should do the trick without too many loud fans involved.
Here's what I have put together so far... please let me know what I should change:
Dtek WW CPU block (1/2" fittings)
DD Maze4 GPU block (1/2" fittings)
DD Maze4 Chipset block (1/2" fittings)
172W DRIFT 0.8 Potted Pelt - For CPU
120W DRIFT 1.15 Potted Pelt - For GPU
Don't know how much power I need for the pelts.
Black Ice Xtreme II Radiator
Black Ice Xtreme Radiator
(I've heard some good and bad things about the Black Ice - can anyone recommend a better radiator?)
Wet and Chilly Chips 450mm P/A reservoir
(I would have a friend in the UK send the above part over if possible)
Mag Pump 9.5 (950GPH -- is this too much?)
10' Clear Tubing
I was thinking a Y off of the pump one going to CPU->XtremeII->Reservoir the other Chipset->GPU->Xtreme->Reservior.
I don't know much about the Pelts - so I don't know if the above listed is what I need. Also - how much power would be needed to drive those?
I'm thinking of using a Lian Li PC-75B Full Tower. It seems to be tall enough that if I need to put two power supplies in there I can fit them in the top. But it's a little on the spendy side for something I'm going to be dremeling/drilling.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
