Default Help! Damaged T-bird

In experimenting with different water blocks, I have damaged my T-bird. Let me describe it. If you look at the face of it, there are three chips right beneath the L1 and L2 bridges. The two on the left had some sort of silver looking covering. This covering is now gone. Here is the question:
Is it possible this covering was connecting the leads to this chip? Is there some way to repair this damage. I really don't need another keychain. And this was a 1.33 T-bird. I'd love to experiment with trying to repair it before discarding. It was a sweet overclocker.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
