OK...my four replacement screw finally arrived today and the installation was done. It was not as flaw free as I had hoped though. Since I'm not big on removing the whole system, I submerged my month old Hydor L25 in a bucket of distilled water and removed the barbs. Next, I assembled the C-Systems pump as directed and hooked it up by placing it too in the water and worm clamping the tubes on the barbes. Fired it up and it worked. Problem was, there was a leak on the back side of the housing. I disassemebled and assembled it once more, and same place had a slow leak...no matter how tight I made the screws.

Not to be deterred, I removed the housing and placed plumbers goop inside the housing to make sure there was a water tight seal. Given, I can no longer take the pump apart to replace anything as a result of the goop, but I don't really have a reason to take it apart anyway. Assembled it once again, and no leaks from the housing. But then I noticed an even smaller leak coming from where the power cord goes through the housing. No problem, just applied some more plumbers goop.

After two hours, no more leaks. Although, I don't think it should have leaked to start with and it should not have taken two hours to get it working correctly.

As for its operation....QUIET. You can only tell it's running by touching the pump or looking at the moving bubble in my Bay Res.

As for performance, the only thing different in my setup is the pump. My old temps used to idle at 45C and now they idle at 43C. A 2C improvement I will take. Plus it is much qieter than the Hydor and MUCH smaller. I had to place shipping foam on the bottom of my case, as the pump was so small that it wasn't touching the bottom as the Hydor used to. Not sure if the temp drop is a result of the pump flow or just a result that the pump runs at a lower wattage.

Just my non-professional thoughts on this pump's performance. Not bad for the same price as a Hydor L20.
