Using this primitive sketch, chips 1 & 2 had a silver looking covering on them at one time. Now the covering is gone. It is present on chip 3. I can see four tiny posts along the top and four along the bottom of each of these small chips (1 and 2).
What I do not know, is was the covering some type of conductive material that connected the posts electrically? Too, can I replace this covering with something that does the same thing and get this chip working again?
Any help will be greatfully appreciated.
