I've been building my own evap, which for a first attempt, I think is coming along nicely
Anyway, there is a few things i am stuck on, main one is the base.
I have 2 sheets of copper plate, one is 3mm thick, and one is 5mm thich, I want the base to have pins sticking up from it, and was planning in drilling into the base a little, and making the pins an interference fit into the holes, but i wouls struggle (a lot) to drill into, and lap, a 3mm base.
So in an ideal world, which would be better, a 3mm thick base, or a 5mm thick base? The 5mm would be a heck of a lot easier for me, but how easy it is comes second to performance tbh
I would have soldered the pins to the base, but think they will just fall off when it comes to brazing the block shut.
Any help is much appreciated
