Yes, they are a tad noisy, but you should have heard the place with a bunch of "delta screamers" going all the time! LOL.
I've read several places that these particular fans aren't the favorites, but what I like about them is that I can readily slow them down with a single plug in:
I found this at a local hardware store and it works great! As you can see it has many voltage settings and is all solid state and very inexpensive! At 460mA, the 3 fans I am currently using draw 1.3A so I stay well within the 1.5 specs for the transformer. If I add more fans (you know I will! (LOL) I just add another transformer and terminal block (and have no connectors, perfect for my install) and I'm off and running.
