after working on a pc that would not run any exe , pif , bat and com files today i found this rool from McAfee that will remove most of the current virus's doing the rounds today.

the problem i had was the swen virus had changed the registry entries for the above file extensions stopping anything from running including norton , msconfig , scanreg ext.
the stinger program will scan and remove the following nastys.

before you can run this i had to install the following ini file to fix the registry
