Hi guys.
I looked your entire site and forum, and also other forums but I still want your opinion on the parts that I have chosen to use for my setup.
Here is my system that I want to cool down:
Motherboard: ASUS P4C800 - E Deluxe (vDroop modded)
CPU: Intel Pentium 4 Northwood 3,0Ghz @ 4,05Ghz @ 1.6V
Memory: 2x256MB PC4000 A-DATA VITESTA @ 1:1 @ 270Mhz
Video card: Chaintech GeForce FX 5900XT SA5900X @ 475/850
And here are the parts that I have chosen:
CPU Block - Swiftech MCW6002 1/2" ID fittings
Radiator - Black Ice Extreme 120mm with 1/2" ID fittings
Radiator fans - 2x120mm 130CFM each on Coolermaster Aerogate 2 fan controller
Pump: Swiftech MCP650 1/2" ID
I have chosen these components, but I want your opinion about them. Are these components suitable for my rig?
After I finish the CPU water cooling I will want to water cool my chipset and GPU, and I have a few questions:
1. Is the radiator that I have chosen enough to support such system? I have seen the BIX2 but right now I don't have enough money for it. So what is your advice, should I wait a little and buy the BIX2 or the BIX will be enough for the 3 blocks that I plan to use?
2. What blocks with 1/2" ID fitting you will recommend to me for the GPU and Chipset? I saw the Swiftech blocks but they are with different sizes. I saw that Swiftech is ofering some 3/8" to 1/2" ID stems but I don't want to use them because this will decrease the flow. What you will suggest on this matter - should I buy the Swiftech blocks for the GPU and Chipset with the converting stems or I should choose other blocks?
I saw these blocks with 1/2" ID fittings: PolarFLO TT Series 1/2" Universal VGA; PolarFLO TT Series 1/2" Universal Chipset but I don't know how they perform. I saw also Danger Den MAZE4 GPU - 1/2" ID but I don't have many info about it.
3. Do you think that the pump will be enough for this setup, or later I should buy one more pump and put the two in series?
4. Should I use a T-line to fill and bleed the system or I should use a reservoir? Which one is more comfortable for using and is it true that if I use a reservoir my temps will be better that the temps with the T-line?
5. I know that I should use distilled water, but is there some other liquid that will decrease my temps? I plan to use some water additive .. from Swiftech maybe or the Water Weeter.
Thank you in advance for the help. God bless you all
