If you think it is a power power problem try unplugging everything in the system but essential equiptment. CD Roms - Slave hard drives - floppy disks, non esssential USB devices. This will give you a lot more wattage, and simulate the extra wattage that a 300watter would give you. I had a CUV4X with an Intel 700e processor. I got that thing to overclock to over 1gig on a 250w PS.

I don't think it is the power supply, but this is a sure-fire way to find out. You should also try setting the AGP at 2X if it is a 4X card, or turning off the AGP turbo option. (Turning off the turbo option on the MOBO would require the uninstall, and then reinstalation of the MOBO drivers.)

You can also try upping the CPU core voltage, or reinstalling the video card drivers.
