just for the hint, Dariusz found that (with Dan advice as well) the plastic fitting will allow about 4 turn (near half the lenght of the fitting) but you need to enter it by force. That way, the threading of the plastic fitting will accomodate to the one of the pump and will create a proper sealing.
With metalic fitting (such as the one shown on the picture) you need to go thru a 1/4th turn process which is doing 1/4th turn clockwise, then counter clockwise, clean the threading from additional coating that went off and then one more time etc...
Doing so will allow about the same lenght to go into the pump (outlet side only, the inlet side did not prove to have this "problem" ). In case of metallic fitting, some teflon will help for sealing anyway.
NPT conical s*x *ss...
