I don't know how deep it goes, I experimented on a old CD-Rom tray, I'll have to find it and break it in half to see..
Ok, I went ahead and put it back together, but I won't use it till tomorrow.. Here are the shots.
The flash kind of makes it look like it's patchy.. It actually looks fine in normal light.
