It was mentioned that the 1046 and 1048 pumps, while weak, are very quiet.
Thats awesome for a low noise senario, but after looking at the graphs, if you use a 6000-A block (responds well to low flow) you can achieve within 1C of the performance from the high powered MCP650 or MCP600.
Would this not also denote this ultimate low noise solution as high performance as well?
Even if your flow was a pathetic 0.5GPM you'd be only be getting ~2C less than a pump that could deliver 2GPM (which is really on the higher end of the scale).

If this is correct, and asuming it is, can we not all achieve our high performance low noise with this solution?
