Over at
Overclock-Watercool, they have these new V-Tuned waterblocks. Scroll down a bit and click on the link to see them, w/ frames I can't directly link to the page. There is one that cools only the core, they have a picture on the website on an Intel chip (though I bet it would work w/ AMD if you were careful not to crush the core).
My question is, what about a straight-pass (well, it makes a 180 degree turn) style of waterblock? If it resulted in a lowered restriction to flow, and if higher flow equals better heat dissipation... you see where I'm going with this.
Of course it wouldn't work with a peltier due to the small contact area, and it would depend on the ability to transfer heat from the core to the water... I wonder if it's in the roundup?

What does everyone else think?
