Reconnecting the lead onto a peltier

I was fitting my 172W peltier into a neoprene gasket I had made for insulaitng between the coldplate and the block of my Maze2-1. I was pulling on of the wire leads down into a slit I had made for it in the neoprene when I pulled a little too hard and the lead just came off. My question is, how do I reconnect it? Would the heat from soldering the lead damge the pelt? Another option I considered is conductive epoxy (I can get a free sample from Chemtronics), but wasn't sure if it would work right since it is designed for repairing circuits on boards not connecting broken wires. If anyone has any other ideas on how to reconnect it, it would be great.
