Hi there.
I am right now looking for some software that detects if any pc is sharing files at a lan, and in case it is true, it sounds an alarm with the name of that pc.

Thats because at our lan we are limiting sharing trough dc++ to stop users from overloading the lan, and removing the pleasure of the guys playing games, with the high pings they get.

I tried googling, but i was unable to find any software capable of doing what i want, or anithing near it, but since this forum has proven many times to have a large number of knowledeable ppl, i am here asking if you know any kind of software like this, or, if you know of any way around this problem.

Yes, limiting the speed at programable switchs would be perfect, but we dont have acess to those kind of hardware.

Joe, you, the all-mighty lan maker, could you give a hint?

And btw, at ebay, how cheap can i get switches with 24 ports 10/100?
