Well, I went through Unlocking the EEProm, resetting the Hardware version to 1.1.0, and then re-locking the EEProm. I rebooted my SnapServer 2000 and rechecked the hardware version. It most definitely switches back to version 0.0.0. It seems to me...based on experience with routers, that what we are initially editing might be just what is in memory, and is never, therefore, written to the eeprom for permanent storage. If this is true...then there must be a command line that writes to the eeprom...though I don't see one when I type "?" in the CLI.
