Coldplate? is that necessary? I just thought you put the cold side of the pelt on the cpu heatspreader and clamp it down with the waterblock and you're ready to roll. Why can't you just clamp it down or use a piece of copper or something as a cold plate if it's really necessary? I saw someone in the water/phase section and they used a 6002-a for a pelt. so it must be possible? sorry, i am new to all this. couldn't I just squeeze one of these in there between the cpu and the TEC? why do you need screws? wont the force from the block keep it in place?
