Default Custom Waterblock/Coldplate Clamping

OK, I want to give this a try over the Xmas break, but I need some input from you guys first. I want to modify my water cooling system to add peltier cooling but I want to try and make a custom clamping system.

Here is what I am thinking, I have a swiftech mcw6000 water block and i want to kind of make a copy of their retension system but with a couple mods. This is what it looks like:

So if I replace the blue thing with a similar 1/8" thick peice of copper and have bolt holes at 12, 3, 6, 9 o'clock. I would also make a cold plate with a similar bolting pattern.

I attaced a sketch I made.

So finally to my question Would this supply enough clamping pressure?
Any other thoughts/concerns?
