When inside my MDF radbox I couldn't tell that the MD30 was on at all. If I turned everything else off in the room and listened, and then turned off the MD30 you could then tell that the room got quieter, but I had trouble distringuishing "why", as the MDF box basically converted the pump's whine into background white noise.

Ahhh hhaaaa. Once again you are the man I want to talk to!!! I am in the process of building my rad box. You used MDF. Is that because it has the best sound blocking/absorbing properties? Or is there another wood you would recommend? Got any pics? What are you doing to keep the pump cool?
And Maxx sorry for the thread jack!
