Laundry bleach (usually sodium hypochlorite or sometimes calcium hypochlorite) will do
bad things to the copper in your loop.
The search function seems to be down at the moment - when it comes back, do a search for the thread airspirit started on cleaning bio-gunk out of tubing, but in the meanwhile either
- don't use bleach
- use bleach, but take and post pictures of what happens so we can use you as a "bad example".
