If the ID of the threaded holes is ~.44" (tapered):
The OD of 1/4 NPT pipe is 0.54"
The ID of 1/4" NPT SCH 10 pipe is 0.410"
The ID of 1/4" NPT SCH 40 pipe is 0.364"
The ID of 1/4" NPT SCH 80 pipe is 0.302"
-->the threaded hole has to be 1/4" NPT if you know it is some size NPT...
