SNAP Server Disk Config
I have a SNAP Server 2000 set up for RAID 0,1 and one of the hard drives has appeared to have failed. Unfortunately I didn't realized this for a few months because I forgot to change my stored email notification address. The status message mentioned the drive failing and Disk 1 being orphaned. When I checked the status Drive 1 showed failed with no space available. The other drive shows as "Mirror - Data Protection Disk data protection disabled, Backup disk failed. Primary Disk OK"
I was about to replace the disk when I saw a note about formatting the drive can restore it. So I formatted Disk 1 and it now shows OK will all the space available.
The issue I now have is I can't get back to RAID 0,1. The status log for the Mirror disks shows "1 member missing in logical device (Original ID: 50000)", "Logical set member 0 not found" (Original device ID: 50000).
When I go to the configure disk tab it tells me that the disk configuation can not be changed and that I should call tech support.
I have backed up the important data to a DVD disk. What do I need to do to get this back to working RAID 0,1. ? The unit gas the original Quantum 20GB fireball drives. Which I may upgrade some time in the future but for now I just want the data protection back.
Thanks
Ed
