Nearly forgot........just a quick run through how the hard drive ended up getting mounted.
As the Tyan board is so large and extends into the drive bay area and there is nowhere else to mount the hard drive i had to do some quick thinking and came up with this little device that would keep the hard drive over to the left hand side (looking at the front of the case) but still be able to secure it to the right hand side so it wasn't just hanging.
Anyway i had some angle aluminium left over from making the radiator mounts so this is what i came up with.
After measuring up cut the angle aluminium into lengths....BTW i'm using a Maxtor HD for fitting as its a lot less expensive if it got dropped
Drilled and tapped a few holes
....drilled some more
and fastened them together with stainless steel hex bolts with lock nuts
and the other side
More drilling tapping and fastening
until it was ready to do a trial run to mark the final to holes which lined up once it was in place
And finally it was ready to mount to the hard drive...the Raptor this time!
Fits like a glove
and nobody will be none the wiser
