Default Corrosion issue?

Im a bit shocked! I went to fill up my res a bit more and looking inside the bottom is coated with a red/brown rust colour (plastic res!)

AFAIK all the metals I am using are:

Copper,
Silver,
Brass,

Solder - 95.5/4/0.5 Tin/Silver/Copper
Solder - possibly 60/40 lead/tin

Lastly some of the fittings are nickle plated brass - these are what I used in the res.

Coolant mixture is de-ionised water + algycide. I assumed with the metals I am using there would be no need for corrosion inhibitors.

The res is new - the rest of the part have all worked together before.

Are nickle plated brass fittings usually a corrosion issue?

The colour started to appear in the first few days (been running about a month). I ignored it untill now as I thought it was the glue (holding the res to the holder) that had discolured.

The only other thing I can think of is if the fittings leaked - allowing the aluminuim holder to become part of the loop - but then that wouldnt make a brown coloured rust.
