Awww I must be one of the unlucky ones who got the ticking sound. I got the DD version. It is not really a ticking sound but the sound of the motor spinning not being smooth. Still, it is the quiestest pump I've come across so I'm happy. The "ticking" is rather high frequency thus easy to muffle.

The new upcoming pump sounds very exciting! I will buy a dozen and collect them for future generations. However, if I remember correctly, didn't the Mark II came out years ago already? Is it a new pump with the same name? I can't wait to buy them!

I have a question for Dave. Does the water temperature effect pump life? Because when passive radiators are used by silence enthusiasts, temperature delta is higher and the water feels pretty warm, though never hot by any means. I would say up to 55 degrees max. Do the CSP pumps handle that well for long periods of time?
