First, why would you want to add speedcontrol to L20/L25 that are underpowered pumps and already quiet. If the pump was l30/l35 this would make sense to me but 225 GPH and 4 ft of head is too weak.
I think Astek bought a bunch of L20/L25 and they don't know how to move them.
The res, gizmo's, and a new shell are probably to hide whats under the hood, L25/L20 pump and to fool people into buying those pumps.

Impeller is same design as l20/l25 and specs are about the same.
$130 is too much money for a underperforming pump with a few monitoring add-ons. VFD is about $40-50 anyways and that is where most of the cost are going to.

I rather save my $130, buy a storm block and add another decent pump with that money.

Ow i forgot it has two fan speed controllers aswell. Something H20 users probably have to many off.
