I was recently given a Meridian Snap Server 2000 (< 27000 serial number) with no drives. The former owner thinks the motherboard is dead but it seems to power up just fine. The system and link (when plugged into my network) lights both come on and the disk light flashes four (4) times and then pauses and repeats this indefinitely. I am curious as to whether there is a way to determine if the motherboard is in fact dead. Also if the motherboard is not dead will putting a FAT32 drive in the server ( I have a 6 gb drive I can try) force it to load the operating system so that I can get a drive to be recognized?
Thanks
Stephen
