Cool guys, thanks for the fast reponse. I was thinking of putting them on the bottem of my case with the inlet up to avoid the extra space for the hose to make that "s"shape up to my res. Another spot I was think of putting them was directly behind my Danger den HDPE res. This is the res with 3 nipples. If I cut the tubing so its 11/2" long or so I can canilever the pumps off the back of the res. maybe use a bracket so the pumps weight does not fully bear onto the res fittings. There is more room here (up by the optical drives) because of all the PCI cards I have below. This may also my a great way to isolate noise/vibrations. My concern is the if the pumps are at the same height as the res, they will run dry if the water level drops for whatever reason- or they may also pull in more air that would normaly sit at the top of the res.
Also do you guy place componets based on the threat of a leak. In other words do you think about how to minimalize the damage from a leak by placing as much of the water cooling system below your expensive parts.
