Hi,

I've got a 4000 with (3) 300Gig HDs. I've left the 4th drive as the original 30Gig to hold my Snap stuff. I have 3 identical Seagate Barracuda ATA/100 ST3300831A-RK drives and it all went without a hitch. The formatting took an hour or so, but the RAID rebuild took many hours, so be patient. I didn't try a 4th drive so I can't help there. I'm also running v4.0.830 of the OS. I know I'm not providing any answers, but for FYI - mine works.
