I guess I will brag about my lan since it seems to amaze people when they come into my apt.
The network is 2 8 port NetGear 10.100 Switches, on either side of my apartmet ( 1 bedroom, 700sq foot apartment).
The switches are connected via a 100Mb/Full Dupe link. One switch is in my living room/office/slackzone the other is in my main closet. Yep in my closet
In that closet if 4 servers. 2 are in BookPC form ( a 533Mhz Celeron with 512mb ram and 20 GB HD ( named Cyclone), an a 466Mhz Celeron with 512mb ram and a 8 GB HD(Named Monsoon)). Those are IRC, Email (via I-Mail server), Secondary DNS, ADS Domain controlers, WINS, DHCP, and FTP Severs. Both running W2K.
My main server( named Tsunami) is a Dual P3 450 @ 504 Mhz w/ 1GB of ram. It has 112GB of HD space ( 1 40 GB IDE drive for bulk data, and 8 9.1GB 10kRPM SCSI drives in Windows 2000 software RAID 0 ( for now. I have a Mylex DAC960 dual channel RAID controler with 64MB ram on it thats going to be hosting the array soon.) The server had a Quantum 35/70GB DLT but I had to sell that due to being unemp'd. It has 2 Intel server class NICS in it, and is based on a Tyan Thunder 100 GX chipset motherboard. It functions as my Print, File, AntiVirus ( Trend Enterprise suite), Web, DNS, and ADS PDC server. It also runs VMware with Novell Netware v5.0, v4.11, and working on getting V6 to work in it. I have a Slackware VMWare session on it also.
I have a 4th PC in there that I use as a test box for different things.
All the servers are run on an 1250Va APC Smart UPS
My Clients are the well known Dual Athlon box on the Thunder K7 with a GB of ram and 40 GB of 10krpm U160 HD's and a Matrox G550. The Pro/Mini box which is now my DVE and NLE box using a Matrox RT-2000 NLE card in it ( Brians256 was the VERY generous prodiver of that card) it has 512mb ram and 120 GB of ATA100 HD's. And a Duron 900Mhz with a Matrox Marvel G200-TV with 256mb ram and 40 GB of HD that runs as my TV set and a VCR to record short stuff onto the HD.
I also have my 3rd iOpener with a 20 GB HD and 128mb ram running windows 98 SE.
All are on the Netgear switches, and all setup with network wide policies and rules Via ADS. There is distributed AntiVirus on every machine when they log into the network, and 3 other virus wall's in place to filter anything that is coming or going through the network. I can promise you this, you will NEVER get a virus from me
There is around 300 - 400 Ft of cat 5 run in my apt
So theres my network
Edit: Heres the kicker... I gotta move all that to a new apartment in the next month!
