Default Snap 1100

Just install the drive, NO formating required. The snap1000 will take care of the formating and copying the system from flash to the hard drive. The Snap1100 does not have the system in flash. If it fails you will have to copy the boot trackes to another drive. I have seen some 2000 have problems, but come back after they cool off. Check to see if the coolling fan failed.

You said you were able to copy the data, I assume by putting the drive in another snap. Is this correct. If you copied the files from the snap1000, it has not completely given up.
