Thanks for the reply.

The ceramic honeycomb would be the heating element in a forced air heating system. Ceramic is necessary because it is critical that no toxic metals (e.g. aluminum) be used in the airpath.

Besides honeycomb, another option is using bored ceramic blocks or rods with small holes for the airpath. But unless such a thing is available pre-machined, I don't have the capability to do it myself.
