Hehe, no. Why would you use glass as a heating element anyway?

At this point, I should probably explain a bit more to prevent further confusion. The heating element would function as follows (simplified):
Electric heaters (similar to those used in die sims) are mounted to the outside of the honeycomb block/rod. Fans push air into the block and clean, hot air comes out the other side. A hairdryer basically, except without contaminants in the airstream.

Unless the glass is borosilicate (pyrex), the glass would probably crack at the required temps. Even using borosilicate, you probably can't find anything with an efficient geometry.
