ok guys i got the first stage of testing done just on the BIX.... i tested with the rio1100 right now cause i just decided i wanted to see how it compares to a eheim 1250

Test Setup: Pump -> resevoir -> Radiator -> CPU -> Vid -> Chipset

The pump is the Rio1100 modified to inline

Radiator is the BlackIce Extreme with one 120mm mounted directly to the front, blowing air through it.

The fan is a Panoflow 120mm model H1A, 103.8 cfm, 41.5 dba

the processor is a Duron 850 @1000, 133fsb, 1.825v, DangerDen Maze2

The Video is an Asus V7700 Geforce2 GTS at defaults, Becooling vid block

Mobo is an AbitKT7-A Raid with becooling chipset block

OS is XP build 2600

NO COOLING PROGRAMS WERE USED IN THIS TEST

The DD5 probes were located:
cpu(touching side of cpu core)
Water(inside of resevoir with one layer of plastic wrap to shield from water)
AMBIENT(right at the intake of the radiator fan, pulling in external air)

I added 1 degree to the bulb probe readings because they read 1 degree lower than the flat probes.

Testing was done using Prime95 to max the processor as i found this heats the processor the most. I left the machine one for 8 hours to warm up. then i ran prime95 for 1 hour and recorded the temps for about 10 min till i got the highest. i then let it cool down for an hour and read the lowest temps for about 10 min.

anyway here are the results
DD5 temps:

*MAX*
CPU: 35.5
Water: 26.2
Ambient: 21.6

*IDLE*
CPU: 32.1
Water: 25.2
Ambient: 21.6

the delta on the CPU (3.6 degrees) REALLY doesnt sound right... but ive been maxin and idleing for a few days... and it is the same every time...

infact i even use Hmonitor to read the onboard thermistor behind the cpu... i got a 30.7 idle and 34 max at the SAME TIME i took the above temps, which is a 3.3 degree Delta
After an hour of sitting and either idle or max... the thermistor should have balanced out to a fairly acurate temp...

now i still have some more testing to do... do you guys want me to test out the SuperCube from dangerden? im not sure how i could make it equal to this testbeing that the SuperCube needs alot more fan power if you use it as is.... i could test the "mod" where i take off the sides and get a HUGE drop in fan resistance... and just shroud the same 120mm fan i used in this test??? let me know guys
