No they will be fine. I would however, have the D4 feeding the D5, but that is just me. If say you were asking about an Eheim 1046 and a D5, I would say don't bother but the 4 and 5 are nearly identical in terms of pressure, perhaps the 5 is a bit more powerful which is why I'd have it just before the 5. Benefit? depends on many things, but you will see a bit more flow but also more heat. What does the full setup consist of?
