In several years of water cooling I have only had one leak.
It didn’t kill anything...

I have seen 1 explosion (silly bugger forgot to turn on pump) and over 3 hours it boiled the tubing and burst 1 hose.

Have a read of others experiences. Take due cake checking all connections over 24hr ect and you should be a ok...

As for prebuilt kit, or dyi..

It really depends how confident and your skill set regarding working with your hands.

My suggestions, don’t buy beginners water cooling kit. You will be wasting your money in the long run.
